Parents- do you ever feel like you have no way of knowing the current youth culture? Do you ever just want a place to find out how you can help your son/daughter naviagate through a very un-Christian culture? This site has a lot of useful suggestions/ideas that may offer some insight. Check it out and let me know what you think! (Since I am not a parent I don't actually know how useful it might be for you, but I like what they offer, so...) Here's the link.

Last night we talked about how well we really know God. I used the example of me and Brad Pitt. I know quite a bit about Brad Pitt, but I don’t really know him. In contrast, I also know a lot about my close friends, but what I know is more about who they are instead of just what they do. Our relationship with God is a lot like this. We can know a lot about God, like knowing the Ten Commandments, knowing about the Plagues, knowing how many books are in the Bible, knowing a lot of Bible stories, but not really know God. To really know God we must know Jesus his son by opening up our hearts to him and we must spend time with God. When we do this we change. It’s like you and your friends. What are the “crosses” in your life? In what ways is Jesus asking you to live in the world but not be of the world? Are you following the world or Jesus? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to follow the world and chose to follow God. God saved them from certain death. Do you trust that God will be by your side as you face certain death (perhaps literally, but I use it figuratively)? Don’t forget that you are an alien living in this world. Some day you will be called home. Will you live as one who is of this world even though...
